Stake Poker review: tickets, tournament costs and freeroll checks

Stake Poker has its own card-room rules, cash games and tournaments within Stake.com. Promotional tournaments can require paid entry; tickets, currency presentation and product-specific exclusions need careful checking.

Unique tournament IDs in the selected room, within the 180-day UTC window. Missing prize values and currencies are excluded from medians; currencies are never combined. Verification share is verified events divided by all password-tracked events, including pending and reported entries. It measures source agreement, not successful registration. A dash means insufficient observations. These records are a sample, not a complete operator schedule; an absent event is not evidence of cancellation. A recorded zero is treated as unknown unless explicitly confirmed.

Research reviewed:

Stake Poker is the player-versus-player card room within Stake.com, with rules distinct from its casino games. Its published rules cover Hold’em and Omaha cash games, tournaments, Sit & Gos and automatic all-in events. The current promotion catalogue also lists fast-fold Next!, All-In or Fold and JAQKpot!. For freeroll players, the main task is separating genuinely free admission from paid tournaments and restricted tickets. A prominent poker promotion alone does not establish a freeroll. Card-room rules and promotion catalogue.

A poker promotion can have a $20 entry

The Weekly Treasure Hunt page reviewed on 15 October 2026 advertises a Sunday Mystery Bounty event with a $15,000 guarantee and a $20 buy-in. Its displayed promotion period runs from 10 September to 31 December 2026. That is a paid tournament, and should not be placed in a freeroll list because it appears under poker promotions or contains the language of prizes and rewards. Dedicated terms.

This is a useful comparison point for any event reported by a community source. Match the exact event rather than attaching another event’s guarantee or entry rule to a similar title. Mystery bounties describe prize mechanics; they do not tell you whether admission costs money. A tournament funded by a ticket may still have required paid play to earn that ticket.

Find the right ticket and its eligible tournament

Stake’s ticket documentation provides a specific route: enter Stake Poker, open the menu and select Tickets. The trophy button beneath a ticket shows which tournaments accept it. Expiry dates appear on tickets, and an expired ticket has no remaining use. Tickets can come from satellites or promotions and can allow entry or re-entry to specified events. Ticket guide.

If the event here is ticket-based, inspect that eligibility list before searching for a password. If a source reports a password-protected freeroll, check its date, title and conditions in the lobby. A password does not replace a required ticket. Conversely, a ticket balance is not proof that every event of the same nominal buy-in accepts it.

The Treasure Hunt instructions confirm a Tournaments tab and a tournament-name search in the Stake Poker lobby. Those are documented navigation steps; this review does not claim an installed-client test or invent a universal freeroll filter. Use the individual tournament’s entry screen to confirm current fees, late registration and available tickets.

Currency symbols and automatic all-in events

Stake’s card-room rules say dollar and USD references in poker are approximate indications of USD-equivalent value. They are not an undertaking to provide currency exchange or an assurance about conversion accuracy. A prize shown as “$100” in poker should therefore be read alongside the account’s settlement currency and cashier information. Currency clause.

The same rules distinguish all-in tournaments, where registered players automatically go all-in and observe progress, from ordinary decision-based tournaments. A free all-in shootout can award a seat without offering a normal tournament session. Check whether the reward is cash, a ticket or another restricted entitlement before comparing its headline amount with an ordinary freeroll prize pool.

One operator account, with separate product restrictions

Stake.com’s terms identify Medium Rare N.V. as the operator. They also state a Curaçao licence number, but this review has not independently checked the regulator’s current register. We report the identity declared by the operator without presenting that declaration as an independent licence verification. The terms allow identity and location documentation and recommend two-factor authentication. Account terms.

Payment agents named in those terms are not automatically the poker network or software developer. We have not established a separate network relationship through a primary network source. Likewise, an English-language account interface does not prove availability in a particular country. Confirm current territorial restrictions before registration; an accessible website is insufficient evidence.

Stake’s help centre describes a poker-only exclusion requested through support. It blocks Stake Poker while retaining casino and sportsbook access and ordinary account functions. A player seeking a break from every gambling product should not assume that this limited exclusion achieves it. Its documented periods include short breaks and indefinite exclusion, with restrictions on early reversal. Poker-exclusion help.

What is established about freeroll availability?

The reviewed sources substantiate the tournament and ticket mechanisms, but do not establish a standing unrestricted daily freeroll offer. We therefore do not promise one, quote an old community password as current or attach an unverified sign-up bonus. Our repository’s available feed contains no tournament observations and is dated 19 September 2026; its room history is empty. That sample cannot support a room activity ranking or a password acceptance percentage.

Stake’s documented advantage is that tickets expose their eligible events and expiry directly. The important limitations are conditional promotion access, USD-equivalent presentation and account or territorial requirements. An existing eligible player can use this page to inspect sourced events quickly. A player choosing a room solely for no-deposit freerolls needs a current qualifying event before treating Stake as a suitable option.

Stake Poker entry questions

Is Weekly Treasure Hunt a freeroll?

The reviewed dedicated page lists a $20 buy-in. Its guarantee and weekly recurrence do not make it free.

Where do I see what a ticket can enter?

Open Stake Poker, choose Tickets in the menu, then use the ticket’s trophy button.

Does a dollar prize guarantee dollar withdrawal?

No. The poker rules describe USD-equivalent values. Check settlement currency, cashier limits and conversion implications separately.

Do automatic all-in tournaments involve normal poker decisions?

Their documented format automatically commits players’ chips. They should not be confused with ordinary MTT play.

Does poker exclusion block the casino too?

No. Stake specifically describes it as a poker-only restriction. Broader protection requires the appropriate account-wide option.
